Have some questions? We've got answers.
We've tried to anticipate your most common questions about Tele-Cap below.
I have a dial up connection to the Internet. Can I use Tele-Cap?
No, Tele-Cap requires a high speed Internet connection to operate. The host requires the bandwidth from DSL, Cable or Wi-Fi to properly send the signal to the client.
Does Tele-Cap act as a TV or do I need a separate TV Tuner?
Tele-Cap is a software package that sends the output of an existing USB or TV Tuner card. It captures the video and sound output and sends it through the Internet to the client. It is not a TV package by itself.
What television channels will I be able to view?
Because Tele-Cap captures your own television signal, you will be able to watch any of the television channels you receive at home. If you live in Seattle, Washington, but are on a business trip to Toronto, Ontario, you'll be able to watch your local Seattle television stations from your hotel room.
Can I watch Pay-per-View and Digital TV with Tele-Cap?
Pay-per-View and Digital TV usually needs a separate converter box to de-scramble the special signal. Although you can certainly send the resulting TV signal to the Tele-Cap client, you will be unable to change the channels remotely.
Is it legal?
Yes, North American broadcast laws prevent you from re-broadcasting TV signals. Since Tele-Cap uses peer-to-peer technology to send you your own video and audio signals for personal use, you are operating within the confines of the law.
Can two Tele-Cap clients watch TV from the same host at the same time?
No, the video stream from the host to the client is a secure peer-to-peer feed similar to popular music sharing programs such as Kazaa and Morpheus. Only one person may logon and utilize Tele-Cap at a time.
Can I record live programming with Tele-Cap?
Yes, Tele-Cap allows you to either take a snapshot photo of the signal (saved as a bitmap file) or record the signal stream to your hard drive. One hour of video will occupy less than 47 MB of hard drive space. Tele-Cap's just-in-time recording allows you to manually start and stop the record function, but you cannot preset recording times.
Can I watch the output from a VCR using Tele-Cap?
You could, assuming your TV Tuner handles composite video inputs or S-Video inputs to connect the VCR. Unfortunately, human intervention is needed to place the tape in the VCR and press play. You cannot control the VCR remotely with Tele-Cap.
What type of resolution can I expect with Tele-Cap?
The resolution depends upon your bandwidth connection speed. At only 100 kbps, you'll receive 320x240 video at 23 frames per second. Expect near DVD quality over 500 kbps with resolution as high as 640x480.
My ISP provides me with a dynamic IP address that changes every time I boot my computer. Can I still use Tele-Cap?

- The connection strings were lost from your system's registry.
- The Ips of our connection servers are changed.
- Download the Connection Fix Tools to retrieval the connection string for your registry.
Why do we need the access code?
There are some reasons why the software provides the access code option.
- The product's account id and password are stored into our registration server, but the access code does not stored into our registration server too; therefore, none can access your product (software) without the correct access code, even the administrator of the registration server.
- You can create up to 4 difference access codes with difference access right; therefore you can control the access of the person who knows your access code.

Tele-Cap streams the video to the client as close to real time as can be achieved over the Internet. There is a slight delay of approximately seven seconds for both the video stream to arrive to the client and the channel commands to be executed.
